Kathy Liebert is arguably the absolute best female tournament poker player today. Before poker, Kathy attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. She graduated with a degree in business and finance and got a job with Dunn and Bradstreet. During this time, she was in the stock market and did very well. She quit her job at Dunn and Bradstreet, saying she wasn’t cut out for cooperate life, and traveled the country with her stock market winnings. Kathy settled down in Colorado and started playing low limit poker. She was eventually offered a job to became a proposition player. From there, Kathy got better at poker and landed her first big tournament win, placing second and winning 34k. Now, Kathy has a WSOP bracelet, a first place win at the Party Poker Million in 2002, and ranked in the top ten female money winners at the WSOP. Kathy is still playing the stock market and mainly tournament poker and hopes she can win a championship no-limit hold'em tournament someday.
