Carlos “El Matador” Mortensen is a super aggressive player who is known to make big bluffs with his great reads and has been extraordinarily successful. Before playing poker professionally, Carlos live in Madrid and worked multiple jobs at; bars, restaurants, and pizzerias. Then, he came across a poker game and wanted to play. After losing his first game, he came back the next day and continued winning until no one wanted to play him. So Carlos decided to go to the Las Vegas and he had a pretty successful run. Eventually, he had to go back to Madrid because he visa only allowed him to stay in the US for three months. Within time, Carlos moved to the US with his wife Cecelia and became the poker superstar he is today. His biggest wins are winning the WSOP main event in 2001, making a 1.5 million, and winning a WPT Championship in 2004, making a million dollars. Mortensen’s goal is to win the biggest game consistantly, but he knows he has a long way to go.
