Hamid Dastmalchi was an active player and considered one of the best tournament poker players. Now a days, Hamid is rarely seen playing in a tournament, if at all. But while he was playing, he made an impressive track record. In 1992, Hamid won the WSOP main event, earning a cool million. He also has two other WSOP bracelets, one from 1986 at a No Limit Hold'em event and another from a 1993 Pot Limit Hold'em event. In addition, Hamid has made two other main event final tables with a fifth and a fourth place. Obviously, he is a great tournament player with his fair share of success. With the growing prize pools, maybe we will see Hamid return to the tournament scene in the future.
