Martin De Knijff has been betting since he got out of high school, so it is no surprise that he was attracted to poker. Martin is a professional bettor and analyzer of soccer, which he still does for a living today. He has two employees that gather information from different European leagues and then they rate games and place bets on the ones with a high pay out to success ratio. Martin started playing poker at the age of fifteen, and started really improving his game when he read Doyle Brunson's Super System. Now, Martin plays as a semi-pro. Since then, he has won one of the biggest prizes from a poker tournament. Winning the World Poker Classic in 2004, he placed first earning the $2.7 million prize. Besides playing poker and betting on sports, Martin is a Bridge Life Master in Sweden. He achieved this when he was only 21, becoming the youngest person ever to do this. Currently, Martin has a son, Robin, and a girlfriend who lives in Las Vegas. He splits his time between his house in Stockholm and Las Vegas. He is taking up golf and hopes to excel at that one day. Martin plans on playing more tournaments in both Europe and the US, but looks forward to playing in the LA Poker Classic tournament in the US.
