Sweeeettt Home Alabama! Hoyt Corkins is the cowboy of poker. You will see him frequently wearing his black cowboy hat and cool shades at the poker table. But don't be misled by the country boy image, he has the aggression of a city slicker. "Mr. All-in" as he is referred to by Phil Hellmuth. He was given the nickname from the 2003 World Poker Finals because he was frequently pushing all his chips in the middle. This strategy got him the win at this event, making him a million dollars richer. Hoyt also has a WSOP bracelet from a pot-limit event in 1992. After this tournament, it seemed that Hoyt disappeared from the poker scene completely, but he actually took time away from poker due to his grandmothers and fathers closely timed deaths. This hurt him deeply and he needed a break, but then he certainly came back with a bang. Hoyt has some catching up to do, but he has more then enough poker know-how to make it up with haste. We should certainly see Hoyt in multiple WSOP and WPT final tables in the upcoming years.
Hoyt Corkins is a live poker tournament event player and has played poker since 1989.Corkins's poker tournament results and statistics include 7 1st place finishes, 32 final table appearances, and 68 in-the-money finishes for $5,491,910 in total poker tournament event earnings over the years.
